Our investigation

The bank's terms and conditions said it could close an account at any time and did not necessarily have to give a reason for doing so. The bank sent him an email and a letter informing him of its decision on 22 May. In those communications, it said it had recently carried out an anti-money laundering review of his account and decided to close it.

Outcome

Dave withdrew his complaint.
